Das Casentino ist ein kleines Tal in der Toskana zwischen Arezzo und Florenz. Wegen seiner morphologischen Eigenschaften wurde das Tal „geschlossenes Tal“ genannt (aus Latein Clasentinum); es erscheint als eine Art Korb mit einem Hintergrund von Wiesen und Wäldern umgeben von bewaldeten Bergen und durch den Fluss Arno überquert, die durch das Tal in die Ebene von Arezzo fließt Rictung Florenz und von hier „dreht das Gesicht anderswo“ (Dante, Fegefeuer, XV.48).

If you are looking for a paradisiac break, come here! Every time I come I am amazed by the landscape, the confort, the warm welcome of the host, and the beautify of the place. Accommodations are comfortable, cosy and clean - both if you go for the 2-place flat, or the bigger ones. Moreover, Casa Giannino is where the Ornina wine is made and trust me so 100m away from the accommodation you get to visit and amazing wine cellar were you can taste red, wine and sparkling wine. Now, trust me: you definitely want to taste it and you will not leave without some bottle for yourself cause the wine is really delicious and all completely naturally made. I will come here again and again - I highly recommend!
